Welcome to TripRecon. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.
1. What we do
TripRecon provides safety-focused travel briefs, community-submitted scam stories, and tools for planning. Information is provided for general guidance only and is not legal, medical, or emergency advice.
2. Updates and subscriptions
You may follow TripRecon on Instagram or other platforms to receive updates. Keep your contact method accurate. You can unfollow or stop receiving updates at any time.
3. User submissions (stories, photos, tips)
When you submit content, you represent that:
- You have the right to share it, and it’s truthful to the best of your knowledge.
- It does not include others’ personal data (e.g., phone numbers, addresses) without consent.
- It does not defame, harass, or violate any law.
License: You grant TripRecon a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, edit for clarity/safety, publish, display, distribute, and create derivative works from your submission to operate and promote the service. You can request removal at any time.
Moderation: We may edit, refuse, or remove content at our discretion (e.g., for safety, accuracy, or policy compliance).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Attempt to scrape, attack, or disrupt the service.
5. Safety & emergency
TripRecon aims to highlight scams and safety tips, but situations vary. Always use your judgment and local guidance. In an emergency, contact local authorities or emergency services immediately.
6. Intellectual property
TripRecon trademarks, logos, and site content (other than your submissions) are owned by us or our licensors. Do not use our marks without permission.
7. Third-party services
We may link to or integrate third-party services (e.g., maps, AI providers). Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant accuracy, reliability, or availability. Travel conditions and risks change frequently.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripRecon will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TripRecon from claims arising out of your submissions, misuse of the service, or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for any reason, including policy violations or misuse. You may stop using the service at any time.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of your principal place of business (update to your chosen jurisdiction). Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you as required by law. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
